Peaces is a fusion of poetry, dance, and music written and performed by emerging artist Onawumi. Peaces looks at the importance of finding peace in the transitory nature of life. Set to the beat of the African drum, Onawumi gives voice and movement to issues of life, death, love, and exploitation, while recounting the lesson of finding peace in our valley experiences.

The evenings proceeds will benefit the Eileen Harris Pennick Scholarship Fund, established in 2008 by the Pennick family in honor of the late community activist and educator. The fund provides scholarship monies to rising college freshmen who have exhibited a strong drive for social change through community activism.

Onawumi's 30th birthday celebration with DJ Tallawah immediately follows the performance. 

EVENT PARKING: Free covered parking is located in lot connected to Youth Art Connection. Lot is only accessible off of Courtland or New Peachtree Center on weekends.
